Dubai Police Test Its Latest Gadget, A Flying Motorbike

Whosh whosh it's the sound of the police A Dubai officer is seen riding a hoverbike in a new video showcasing the force's latest vehicle

These airborne police officers will be using the Hoversurf Scorpion-3, a hoverbike prototype built by a Russian drone start-up and revealed earlier this year.

The announcement of the futuristic "flying bike" is aimed at providing Dubai Police with the ability to soar over crowds and other obstacles in the case of an emergency, especially when traffic and on-road congestion is at its peak.

Dubai's police force, already equipped with little autonomous robocops, is getting another leg up in the law enforcement race with incredibly cool, and somewhat dangerous-looking hoverbikes.

India's wholesale inflation cools to 2.6% YoY in September led by food
The index of manufacturing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers segment, came down by 1.3 percent to 110.5 from 111.9. Earlier this month, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had kept benchmark interest rate unchanged on fears of rising inflation.

According to the Facebook page of Hoversurf CEO Alexander Atamanov, the company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Police and has been invited to open mass production of the vehicle in the Dubai area.

"The bike can also fly without a passenger and can go up to 6 kilometres".

The Russian-made craft is fully electric and can handle loads of up to 600 pounds, offering about 25 minutes of use per charge with a top speed of about 43 mph.

If this is not the case, the Dutch DPA can decide to impose a sanction on Microsoft. Microsoft also does not obtain unambiguous consent - it uses opt-out options.

According to a report in Dubai's English daily Gulf News, the custom-painted hoverbike, dubbed Scorpion, has been developed by Russian drone manufacturer Hoversurf and looks a bit like speeder bikes - also known as jumpspeeders - from the Star Wars franchise. "The uniform of the pilot is also provided by the police", they said.

After appearing at tech shows earlier this year, Dubai Police has chose to add one to its list of cutting-edge gadgets, all part of the force's "smart city" plans.

Whosh, whosh, it's the sound of the police: A Dubai officer is seen riding a hoverbike in a new video showcasing the force's latest vehicle.
