Rishard Matthews says he'd quit National Football League if forced to stand for anthem

Rishard Matthews tweets he's done if NFL makes national anthem rule

Matthews asked on Twitter if he would accept a fine or penalty if the NFL instituted a new rule for the national anthem, then later deleted the tweet. He's going to be out of a job that pays millions simply because he won't stand for the anthem.

Trump has repeatedly criticized players and teams who kneel during the anthem to protest, saying that any players who refused to stand should be fired.

Brady playing through injury to left shoulder
He first dinged it during the October 1 game against Carolina, one of the many hits he endured in that game. Brady reportedly went for an MRI on the left shoulder this week.

SC refers Sabarimala temple's ban on women to Constitution Bench
Now with the SC referring the case to the Constitutional Bench, the verdict on the case might get further delayed. Meanwhile, women's rights activists are hoping for a positive judgment today.

The Titans remained in the locker room during the anthem before their Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks. In the three games since, the Titans collectively stayed in the locker room once, and Matthews stayed in the locker room until after the national anthem twice. Should be really interesting to if he ends up following through on his threat or not.

"I'm exhausted of hearing, 'Stick to sports.' It comes down to right and wrong in this world", Matthews told ESPN last month. "We want to honor our flag and our country, and our fans expect that of us". Rather than directing anger to the fact that protests still are happening, think of why they're still happening. "You have that right, that freedom of speech, and you're not allowing that to happen".
