Bungie talks about the future of Destiny 2

Destiny 2

Bungie made an incredibly detailed outline for changes to Destiny 2, as well as some clarifications to misunderstandings, and a seasonal update for future goals, with their latest developer update.

"We recognise that the scales are tipped too far towards Tess at the moment", Barrett said, referencing the store's greedy shopekeep.

Bungie has had a rough couple of months due to questionable XP-systems locking players out of paid-for content, as well as the overall lack of end-game content and their less then stellar communication with the community and the state of the game's microtransactions.

This means that new content will be predominantly part of regular content drops and activity rewards, including Ghosts, Sparrows and ships which were previously only found in Bright engrams.

Giving players more direct purchase options and make adjustments to Bright Engrams to allow players to get the items they want more often.

Gov. Cuomo promises investigation into Sen. Jeffrey Klein's alleged sexual misconduct
A spokeswoman told several publications that Vladimer was planning on leaving well before the alleged incident occurred. Vladimer has called on Klein to "step up", adding that if he doesn't, "then he should definitely step down".

Some of these changes will be rolled out for the Crimson Days event, which kicks off on February 13, and more will come in season three, when the Bright Engram will presumably refresh again.

Raid rewards are also getting a rework on January 30, "to make them more unique and interesting". Raid items will drop with every major encounter, the robot raid vendor will sell items directly for purchase, and a new Ghost will be added with raid-specific perks. This will be a whole new way of how mods work for all items like armor and weapons.

The Bright Engrams will not be exclusive to the Eververse shop anymore.

Eververse, the virtual storefront that deals in Destiny 2's equivalent to lootboxes, is also set to receive some changes in 2018. "We also have plans for Clan and Community High Scores in the works". Some have postulated that the Eververse IS the end game. Lastly, this update will include PC Tower Chat, quickplay improvements, the appearance of Fireteam members on the destination map.

"We're shifting the balance of new content in favour of activity rewards over Bright Engrams".

There are even some plans that stretch out to autumn 2018, though these are vague bullet points for the time being and only represent a "small sample" of items Bungie is hoping to add in the future.
