Man kills mother after video game tantrum

Police Son Killed Mother after Argument over Video Game Headset

Officers in Ceres have arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed his own mother after an argument.

28 year old Matthew Nicholson is now in custody after allegedly shooting, and killing, his mother over a broken gaming headset following a heated argument that led to he himself breaking it.

A little white before 10 in the evening, authorities received an emergency report of a woman being shot inside a residence.

Lydia Nicholson was 68 years old at the time, survived by his father and her husband; 81 year old Loren Nicholson. According to police reports, both parents were blamed - and threatened - resulting in Nicholson pointing to the gun to his mother before his father could relinquish him of his weapon.

U.S. consumer watchdog official takes leadership fight to appeals court
English emailed staff with directives, while Mulvaney showed up with an armful of donuts and an urgent memo. But the judge concluded that issuing the injunction that English wanted wouldn't solve the problem.

It began with Matthew Nicholson, 28, losing a video game. "Speechless", said Ron Kutzman, a neighbor of the Nicholson family.

Sgt. Greg Yotsuya of the Ceres Police Dept. said, "He came out yelling something about "my headset is broken" or something about the headset being broken, and then grabbed a gun and started shooting".

He allegedly fired into a wall, twice. Another went into Lydia Nicholson's head. "The father grabbed the gun, emptied it".

Loren had been with Lydia for 32 years, according to Fox 40.

Steelers' Mike Mitchell Looks Past Jags & Guarantees Playoff Win Over Patriots
While few in New England believe the ESPN story will hinder the Patriots in any way, that doesn't mean this is just any old week. Brady threw 19 touchdown passes with just three interceptions in those contests, and the Patriots averaged 32.8 points per game.

Police pulled up to the house on River Valley Circle just before 10pm.

Matthew Nicholson had only driven a couple of kilometres away, and police pulled him over near a relative's home.

Ceres police took Nicholas to the police department for questioning then later booked him into the Stanislaus County Jail where he's being held without bail. "Was it the video game or was there something else going on".
