Nissan's figuring out how to make your brain talk to your auto

Coming Soon Controlling Your Car With Your Brain

Nissan's new "brain-to-vehicle" (B2V) technology, which will be shown in a driving simulator at next week's CES 2018, is aimed at helping us respond to risky situations on the road more quickly.

Nissan is set to reveal its "brain-to-vehicle" or "B2V" auto feature that is envisioned to assist in manual and autonomous driving in the future.

Exec veep Daniele Schillaci said, in a company statement, that humans could use "signals from their own brain to make the drive even more exciting and enjoyable".

Turkey rejects USA court ruling on Turkish banker
The conspiracy to violate the IEEPA and money laundering conspiracy counts each carry a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years. He testified that in 2010, when Iran began to feel the squeeze from US sanctions for its nuclear drive the scheme began.

This new technology is based on Predicting and Detecting.

Nissan has developed new technology that allows vehicles to read the brain activity of drivers, and initiate movement in response. Researchers are making strides by using decoding technology to predict driver's actions and detect discomfort. Nonetheless, as a diagnostic measure to evaluate how passengers acclimatize to driverless vehicles, it could prove very valuable in assisting Nissan to tune the drive modes its autonomous technology offers. Nissan even suggests that augmented reality could be used so that the driver sees a different environment outside to create a more relaxing experience. Nissan Researchers are also looking at the reverse process, and use brain waves when the vehicle does things the driver did not expect or did not intend to do something and use notification systems to alert the driver.

The research is part of Nissan's Intelligent Mobility scheme, which includes a range of projects related to smarter driving.

The driver is still responsible for most of the driving, but the B2V technology can brake, steer, or accelerate the auto around 0.2 to 0.5 seconds faster than a human, according to our sister site ZDNet. Nissan hopes to have some version of Brain-to-Vehicle (B2V) ready for real-world use in th next five to 10 years, Nissan spokesman Nicholas Maxfield said.

Automakers are checking out the ways to keep driving relevant as beginners such as Alphabet Inc.'s Waymo and Apple Inc. aim to overthrow the industry with completely autonomous technologies. They claim their B2V technology is the first system of its kind.

Ford Edge ST arrives with 335 horsepower
Bigger brakes are standard on the ST, while an even more capable performance brake system is optional for more stopping muscle. It's the first Ford crossover to boast some serious performance tweaks, so here's a sneak peek.

Nissan will be offering limited demonstrations of the tech at CES 2018, which kicks off this weekend. To be clear, there is no working prototype to be unveiled, which indicates too that mass production is not happening soon, but the plan is to use a driving simulator that will show off key elements of the modern auto feature.
