Person in custody after 'possible hostage situation' on Greyhound; No injuries reported

Numerous police agencies from Wisconsin and IL are responding to an incident involving a Greyhound bus.

Police say the situation started after they received a report of a disorderly and possibly armed suspect aboard the bus in Wisconsin near the IL border. The police pursuit started and then crossed into IL. The caller said a man was acting insane, claimed he had a gun and threatened passengers.

40 passengers were able to evacuate the bus and no injuries were reported, according to police.

Illinois State Police were notified of a pursuit out of Wisconsin involving the bus, police said. About 50 people on the bus were removed and eventually brought to Chicago, the Greyhound spokesperson said.

Initially, authorities reported a "possible hostage situation".
