Taylor Swift adds second Philly show for July

Queen of the stage Swift seen in Houston last year is following a new sales model artists such as Jay-Z and The Rolling Stones have previously implemented sources told the magazine

Fans who register and have been verified via Taylor Swift Tix will receive priority access.

Swift's first single off the Reputation album, "Look What You Made Me Do" broke multiple records within hours of its release.

But that doesn't appear to be slowing sales, as her stop in Philly this summer will feature a second performance due to "overwhelming demand".

And while none of the shows have yet sold out, this is something Taylor's team have anticipated. The cheapest ticket for that show is now going for $164 on Ticketmaster.

There is some concern though for her young fans since her ticket prices might be set too high for them to attend.

Billboard reports that the $180 million came from four days of verified fan pre-sales, and three days of public sales.

According to a story in the New York Post, Swift's strategy of cutting out scalpers by charging scalper-level prices herself and making fans compete for the right to buy them has backfired and most of Swift's upcoming concerts still have seats available.

The second show will take place on Friday, July 13. "We're not trying to sell all of her tickets in one minute; we're trying to figure out how to sell tickets in a more modern way".

"Sales so far have been a mega disappointment", one music industry insider told The Post.
