Uganda denies it will host expelled migrants from Israel

Israel tells illegal Africans to leave before April or face jail

After a long debate regarding the status of about 40,000 African migrants living in Israel, the country's government came up with a plan that calls for the imprisonment of any African migrant who does not have a refugee application pending and who still refuses to leave.

Increasing numbers of African migrants have found their way into Israel in recent years. Israel has not clearly said where the immigrants will go but tacitly recognizes that it is too risky to return the Sudanese and Eritreans to their homes.

These refugees are still considered economic migrants, the Israeli government says.

Henry Oryem Okello told a local Ugandan news agency, Daily Monitor that no such deal had been reached with Israel, which is ordering Africans it labels "infiltrators" - meaning those who did not enter the country through an official border crossing - to leave within 90 days.

Israel stated that migrants who leave before the end of March will be given $3,500 and airfare.

Trump Still Claiming Mexico Will Pay for Wall
Hurd, whose district includes more than 1,200 kilometres of border territory with Mexico , has pushed for more funding for sensors and other border security technologies.

Infiltrator is a term the Israeli government uses to describe people who entered the country illegally.

According to the United Nations refugee agency, this policy violates global and Israeli law.

"We will return south Tel Aviv to the citizens of Israel, they are not refugees, but infiltrators looking for work", he said in August.

"At the moment there are exceptions for women, children, parents of children and victims of human trafficking, but the procedural rules make it clear that those exemptions are only temporary", she added.

Netanyahu, who has in the past blamed migrants as posing a threat to Israel's social fabric and Jewish character, on Wednesday moved to reassure Israeli residents in the poorer neighbourhoods of Tel Aviv where migrants live that there would be a return to safety and security.

Pogba: Manchester United needed "to wake up"
The report goes on to state that some of the rumours linking United with players are coming from people close to Mourinho. United host Derby County in the FA Cup third round as the Red Devils look to win the competition for the 13th time.

"We have expelled about 20,000 and now the mission is to get the rest out", he said, according to Reuters.

The reports say the migrants who are mostly from Eritrea and Sudan will be given the option of going to their respective home countries, to Uganda or to Rwanda. "I hope they will choose to cooperate with us", Netanyahu said.

Aside from the aforementioned groups of migrants, there are around 38,000 migrants that Israel considers as "infiltrators".

Concern by human rights groups about the treatment of the migrants in Israel and soul searching amid a string of incidents that resulted in the death or injury of people either in or while trying to reach Israel.
