Andre Villas Boas had to withdraw from the Dakar Rally after a crash on Wednesday morning

Andre Villas-Boas has been taken to the hospital in a helicopter after suffering an accident during the fourth stage of the Dakar Rally on Wednesday. But the Portuguese football specialist's auto crashed in the fourth stage of this annual competition. He said that the crash had forced him to pull out of the race.

Villas-Boas was performing admirably on debut, in 43rd place for Team Overdrive after the third stage, but crashed on stage four after his Toyota Hilux hit a sand dune.
