Toronto police say an "innocent bystander" died after being caught in a shooting outside a bowling alley Saturday night that also left its intended target dead.

32-year-old Thanh Ten Ngo was gunned down outside Playtime Bowl and Entertainment just after 10 o'clock.

Paramedics said a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.

When officers arrived on the scene, they said they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. A woman in her 20s died after she was rushed to a hospital trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

Czech foreign minister rejects Russia's nerve toxin origin claim
Their joint statement said there was "no plausible alternative explanation" to Russian Federation being to blame for the attack. When Moscow finally made its announcement Saturday, it went slightly beyond strictly reciprocal measures.

Amar had been at the bowling alley with her husband and sister, he said, and happened to be leaving the building when shots rang out.

"With what we have learned thus far we have every reason to believe that Mr. Ngo was targeted", Detective Rob Choe said. Police said they fled the scene westbound in a dark vehicle driven by the third man.

Police are seeking three suspects. One is described as wearing a blue hoodie and black shoes, another was wearing a black shirt and black shoes with white soles.

Choe said Amar has no prior history with police, but wouldn't comment on whether Ngo was known to officers.
