"I just want to say that I'm truly sorry", he said outside court.
A minor vehicle accident took place this afternoon, as media gathered for Ant McPartlin's appearance at Wimbledon Magistrate's Court.
ITV responded to McPartlin's arrest last month by announcing they would not be airing Saturday Night Takeaway on Saturday 24th March, confirming in a statement that they had "taken a joint decision with Ant and Dec's team not to broadcast".
District Judge Barbara Barnes told McPartlin "you are a well-known and successful entertainer", whose weekly income is around £130,000 a week.
It is thought to be the highest fine ever handed out by a British court for drink driving, topping the £54,000 fine given to footballer Yaya Toure in 2016 for the same offence.
"Anthony McPartlin is sorry and is doing everything he can to ensure this never happens again", McPartlin's barrister, Liam Walker, said. "High standards are expected of me, I expect them of..." I've let myself down, I let a lot of people down.
The driver, named as Dr NG, said: "I am horrified how someone can drive so dangerously".
Speaking to reporters he said he was thankful that no-one was seriously hurt.

The court heard that Ant had 75mg of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - twice the legal limit. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Prosecutor Katie Sinnett-Jones told Wimbledon Magistrates' Court that the incident happened when McPartlin drove around a "sharp bend and lost control", then ended up on the wrong side of the road.
While reporting outside the Wimbledon Magistrates' Court for the sentencing of Ant McPartlin, reporter Allison Freeman heard two cars involved in a collision live on TV. Although he was physically fine, he was clearly in shock.
The driver of a black BMW which was hit by Ant's auto described it as going round the corner "like a rocket".
As he left court on Monday afternoon, the 42-year-old TV presenter told reporters: 'I let myself down.
"I genuinely believed the driver of the black Mini had died because I saw no movement".
Wearing a black, three-piece suit, white shirt and black tie, McPartlin stood in the glass dock in court, sporting a light beard.
