Boston Bruins: The B's were unable to execute in game 3

Mitch Marner led the Leafs in scoring this year with 22 goals and 47 assists

The coach was not quite as supportive when the topic of another passenger, forward William Nylander, came up.

The Patrice Bergeron Line is rolling, with a combined 20 points through two games and looking better than they have all season.

"We talked about this series being, it's going to be a tough series. When you go right through it from - the way I look at it is, there are so many things we can do better", Babcock said Sunday after holding a team meeting. Game time is yet to be determined.

The speed was most noticeable in the neutral zone and the skill most particularly on Matthews' game victor in the second period.

It was a monumental performance for the 21-year-old, who becomes the youngest player in National Hockey League history to record six points in a playoff game, surpassing Wayne Gretzky's record by four months. They were dominating the Toronto Maple Leafs, but that all changed on Monday night. But at some point, we need to see some sort of pushback from the Maple Leafs to truly believe that they're indeed alive, no?

Alfie Evans' parents lose legal fight to move son to Italian hospital
Alfie, whose battle has inspired the support of thousands across the world, suffers from an undiagnosed brain disease. Last month, Mr Justice Hayden had ruled that it was in Alfie's best interests for his treatment to be withdrawn.

Despite missing two their best centers, Tomas Plekanec did a wonderful job filling in and keeping Brad Marchand's line off the scoresheet all night.

The Leafs' defence, while improved, still had the habit of throwing pizzas across the middle of the defensive zone. If the puck did not hit the glass, it should have been delay of game.

"Certainly not the difference in the game, but you don't want to play from behind", said Cassidy.

One player who had a lot of opportunities was David Pastrnak.

Listen, you can go back to Game 1 and look at three power-play goals from the Bruins and say that a 5-1 final was not indicative of how tight a game it truly was.

Carroll's late strike leaves Potters in peril
He added: "I must have walked under a ladder or broken a mirror somewhere because I have not had any luck whatsoever". The hosts are seven points clear of the relegation zone, with Stoke five points adrift of safety with four games left.

Dominic Moore, a healthy scratch in the first two games of the series, was added to the lineup Monday in place of Komarov. Frederik Andersen was spectacular, making save after save on what looked liked for sure goals.

GAME ON The stellar third period from Leafs goalie Andersen aside, the Bruins won't exactly be living in fear of the Toronto netminder. Kasperi Kapanen nearly got the lead back for the Leafs with a shot that beat Rask but rang off iron. His teammates were feeding him the puck, but he was unable to get it past Andersen. The only goal that cannot be blamed on the defense is Auston Matthews snipe in the 2nd period.

But in reality, the B's also knew that at some point the youthful speed and skill of the Leafs would be a factor in this best-of-seven tussle.

As for the overall Leafs effort, the Bruins weren't expecting to sweep their way to an easy first-round victory, especially given their divisional rival's success at the Air Canada Centre.

The third- period was very fast paced with very few whistles. Familiar culprits Ron Hainsey and Nikita Zaitsev let Rick Nash and Pastrnak get loose in front but Andersen made a great save on Pastrnak and the Leafs managed to kill the penalty. Had it not been for goals from Adam McQuaid and Zdeno Chara - the two goal scorers we all expected to step up and lead the charge in this game, I'm sure - 3-0 would have felt like 6-0 after 40 minutes of action.
