Gronk won't attend start of program

Rob Gronkowski won't join the Patriots for the start of their offseason program and he may not return at all in 2018

The tight end will not be in attendance for the start of the off-season workouts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Gronkowski said after the Super Bowl he was considering his options and has not committed to returning for a ninth National Football League season in 2018.

Since the New England Patriots fell short in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles, there has been much uncertainty surrounding All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski's future. In other years, Brady has been a regular participant at the team's offseason program, but he will miss at least the beginning this year. He's reportedly had "good communication" with the Patriots. He is mulling retirement, and is unsure if he'll play in 2018.

New York Knicks: 5 goals for the 2018 offseason
New York's vacancy has been linked with the likes of Jerry Stackhouse , Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson , and David Fizdale. I want them to want me. "I was surprised when I wasn't [hired]", Vogel said, according to the New York Daily News .

The star tight end is still weighing his options for the 2018 season, Schefter reported.

Gronkowski has a base salary of $8 million this year.

The Patriots open the voluntary portion of their offseason program on Monday.

Just winning a draw and trying to get a forecheck going, create a little energy... "And I think we work hard to fix those things". Like all those making the trip south for the game, Smith will be battling some severe road and weather conditions along the way.

It's unclear whether Gronkowski is angling for more money or a trade.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently downplayed the possibility of Gronkowski retiring, saying "i$3 t's not even an issue for me" and explaining that Gronkowski has been present at Gillette Stadium recently, apparently to work on rehabbing injuries.
