'The Sandlot' cast reunites for 25th anniversary

Legends never die the original cast of The Sandlot commemorated the 25th anniversary of their fan-favorite flick back on the baseball field during a segment for the Today Show aired on Thursday morning seen on Instagram

"It's been insane. I mean, [it] definitely gets you in places for free", Marty York, who played Alan "Yeah-Yeah" McClennan, told "Today". Nevertheless, they mused over classic lines while reminiscing over the good times they shared making the movie.

The cast of The Sandlot reunited on Thursday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the beloved coming-of-age movie with an appearance on The Today Show.

It's hard to believe, but The Sandlot is now 25 years old.

Even after more than two decades, the cast proved they're still on top of the game when they played baseball.

Missing from the reunion was Mike Vitar, who played Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez in the movie, but director, writer and narrator David Mickey Evans joined the guys on the mound.

"I'm Kevin Durant, it's a little-known truth, and I'll ball you up", Renna joked. "I can't walk through a Las Vegas casino without someone shouting, 'Yeah-Yeah!'"

The cast reflected on the impact the film had on themselves and on the generation that grew up loving the movie.

Patrick Renna, who played Ham, said he showed the film to his son for the first time, but "he's really big on 'Moana, '" unfortunately.

Chaucey Leopardi, who played Squints, said his own teen daughter "thinks I'm just kind of a dork". Maybe the men will become cooler in the eyes of their children a little later down the road.
