Trump spent £3.9 million in the very first quarter.

Besides increasing money due to his effort, money for campaigns have also amassed using all the Republican National Committee, which utilizes that capital.

The campaign also paid legal fees to the Trump Corp. - a company being run by Trump's two older sons - and law firms Belkin, Burden, Wenig & Goldman LLP; Schertler & Onorato LLP; Seyfarth Shaw LLP; and Van Hoy, Reutlinger, Adams & Dunn PLLC.

Trump has opted - unlike presidents before him - to begin actively fundraising in the early part of his first term.

Trump filed for reelection in the day when he took office, what was an unusual step for an incumbent President.

Daniels filed a lawsuit in March seeking to invalidate a 2016 agreement to keep secret a decade-old alleged sexual encounter with Trump in exchange for $130,000.

Trump's campaign spent almost $127,000 at the president's private properties this year, including lodging and meeting fees at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., catering services at Trump Restaurants in NY, and rent to Trump Tower in NY.

The money was divided up between at least eight different firms and the Trump Corporation, according to an analysis from Buzzfeed.

The campaign spent another $58,000 on costs listed as "rent" divided between three recipients: Trump Plaza, Trump Restaurants and Trump Tower.

Trump's campaign has reportedly used millions of his campaign cash in the past year to pay legal fees, including some fees associated with responding to the Russian Federation investigation being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

In 2018, more than $280,000 was paid to the law firm of Larocca, Hornik, Rosen, Greenberg & Blaha and another firm owned by Charles Harder, which represent Trump and his personal attorney Michael Cohen in the court fight with Daniels. Trump Victory, which focuses on big donors, reported raising $6.5 million.

The campaign has raised over $10.1 million so far this year.

The joint fundraising committees ended March with $15.9 million in the bank, according to their FEC filings.
