Christina Aguilera Didn't Quit The Voice Because of Gwen Stefani

The new song is off of Christina's upcoming album Liberation, which will be released on June 15. In February, Lovato told Billboard she "did a collaboration with one of [her] biggest idols".

The powerhouse singers collaborated on Aguilera's newest track, which was released on Wednesday, and it's pretty empowering. Aguilera kicks off the song with: "No one told me / But you deserve to know / That in this world, you are not beholden / You do not owe them / Your body and your soul". The song grows in ferocity, as well as in its ambitious vocals, as Demi declares, "You're more than flesh and bones" before two belt and harmonize throughout in a move that seems to solidify Lovato as an undeniable voice of her generation.

Aguilera, who originally judged the show alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green, said that she "felt like things really started to shift and change" over time. And based on what we're hearing so far, this album will be a go-to for women across the globe. "Liberation is about me getting back to that little-girl me", she said.
