HTC announces a new blockchain-powered Android phone

There's no current price for the HTC Exodus, but the company said it might accept cryptocurrency when the handset does go on sale. Exodus will support not only cryptocurrencies but also decentralised applications. With a Blockchain smartphone, HTC is going to need to build an ultra-secure smartphone, which is something HTC hasn't done before (and really no manufacturer has), but it should make for an interesting device.

HTC has followed in footsteps of Sirin Labs who announced a blockchain powered smartphone past year.

The device, dubbed Exodus, will feature baked-in support for decentralized applications (DApp) and cryptocurrencies. The idea behind the phone isn't so much about mining for cryptocurrency itself, but acting as a node for a native blockchain network that can be used to facilitate cryptocurrency trading amongst the phone's users.

Judge Upholds Mueller's Authority To Prosecute Manafort For Ukraine Dealings
He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, none of which are directly related to work he performed for Mr Trump's campaign. None of the charges against Manafort involve crimes related to Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.

At launch, HTC will support Bitcoin, Lightning Networks, Ethereum, Dfinity and other "underlying protocols". Meanwhile, HTC Vive creator Phil Chen have been quoted as saying that the company may consider cryptocurrency as a means of payment for the upcoming multiple blockchain-powered phone.

The device will also feature what's supposed to be a trusted and user-friendly UI for DApps.

An Android phone, based on the blockchain, is being developed by HTC. Moving forward, however, his new title will be "decentralized chief officer".

PGA Tour pro Lucas Glover's wife charged with domestic battery
According to statements given to deputies at the scene, the altercation began after Glover completed his round. Krista Glover, 36, allegedly attacked and injured Hershey Hendley, and spent the night in the St.

In addition to cryptocurrency manipulation, blockchain is touted for its ability to offer both better security and user experience by incorporating cold wallet storage - offline cryptocurrency storage - directly into the phone. Similarly, there's no set release date beyond "by the end of the year".

We've already seen a couple of early adopters: the Sugar S11 Blockchain Creation Edition in January, and the Sirin Finney earlier this month. Speaking of cryptocurrency, HTC is thinking about allowing the phone to be purchased using digital currencies.
