Hue Jackson to jump into Lake Erie on June 1 to fulfill promise

After saying he would jump into Lake Erie if the Browns finished the 2017 season worse than they did in 2016, Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson has a date setup to follow through on that promise. And now we finally know that it's going to happen.

0-16 in 2017 did not equate to a better record.

The jump will be held in a private location and is reserved for club employees only.

As Jackson announced via the team's social media feed, he will use the jump in the lake to help fund his Hue Jackson Foundation, which combats human trafficking in Northeast Ohio. He seemed to hope that people would have forgotten.

Jackson, together with his wife, formally opened his charity a year ago, according to the team's website, and they will be opening a residence home in cooperation with the Salvation Army in about two months that will cater to survivors of human trafficking. Jackson didn't say the Browns would actually be good. If you ask me, that's cheating.
