Four women among 5 Kashmiris thrashed by mob for feeding dogs

The group that was assaulted has told the police that the harassment had started months ago, when neighbours allegedly targeted the men and women for being Kashmiri and shouted " kashmiri ugrawaadi (extremist)" at them.

The alleged attack took place at Siddharth Extension DDA colony on Thursday night when the group stepped out to feed the street dogs.

A video, in which a Kashmiri girl is being mercilessly beaten up by a mob in New Delhi, has emerged on social media.

Alleging "constant harassment", she complained: "So many people kept assaulting us and making videos, but nobody came to help".

A neighbour gave a different version, saying one of the Kashmiri men "misbehaved with women" and the fight started because of it.

One of them was heard screaming because of the injuries she received during the scuffle. "No one thrashed her", claimed Ms Tripathi.
