Kent State graduate's photo with AR-10 goes viral

Kent State University graduate Kaitlin Bennett went viral for taking a parting shot at her school's anti-gun policy Sunday

During her time as a student at the university, Bennett founded Kent State's Liberty Hangout, a libertarian media outlet that promotes Austrian economics, property rights, and peace.

A new graduate from Kent State has shared a graduation photo of herself walking on campus with an AR-10 rifle strapped to her back to make the argument that people should be allowed to carry guns on university grounds.

"I believe not only that those four students would still be alive today had they had the right to carry on campus, but that students today would be much safer", Bennett explained.

CBS looks back for its reboot-heavy new TV season
Executive producer Dick Wolf's new crime drama is set in NY and stars Jeremy Sisto, Zeeko Zaki, Missy Peregrym and Connie Nielsen. The final new shows that made the cut for the fall lineup are dramas Federal Bureau of Investigation and God Friended Me .

Bennett, who studied zoology at the university and is a digital content producer for the libertarian website Liberty Hangout, tells Yahoo Lifestyle, "I made a decision to come back to campus and take graduation photos with an AR-10 because I wanted to start a conversation about gun rights on college campuses".

In a second photo posted by Bennett, in which she's looking over her shoulder and smiling, the caption reads, "I have no apologies for my graduation photos". "As a woman, I refuse to be a victim & the second amendment ensures that I don't have to be".

"Kent State University was recently ranked the safest big college campus in OH and 25th safest in the country, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security", Mansfield said in a statement. "These officers are visible, well-trained and on duty 24/7 in support of students, staff, and faculty".

Total poised to pull out of Iran's SP11 project without U.S. waiver
The project waiver should include protection of the Company from any secondary sanction as per US legislation, it added. Total said it was working with French authorities towards trying to secure a waiver for the South Pars project.

School policy now prohibits all students from both concealed and open-carry. And though this policy may be well-intentioned, Bennett says that it suggests that students are less deserving of protection. "I find it insulting that the school values the lives of their guests more than those attending the university for four years".

Bennett said even though she's received death threats because of her post, she has no regrets.

Kent State held its graduation ceremony this past weekend. He said, "After graduation, she joined the ranks of our proud graduates. Only this time, I won't have to worry about being expelled for expressing my views".
