San Francisco-based firm customizes crypto-products to lure institutional clients

Coinbase's new trading platform for institutional investors Coinbase Prime

Coinbase announced on Tuesday that it plans to launch a new suite of institutional product offerings to facilitate their cryptocurrency investment and trading needs.

The cryptocurrency market is expanding every day with new developments popping up from time to time. There is a problem, there are very few regulated platforms, and they do not facilitate services for enterprises, hedge funds, or other important institutions. It will have security and third party auditing and financial reporting validation at the standards of the American SEC. Essentially, what Coinbase will be doing via this office is upgrading its systems so that it can become one of the first crypto exchanges that supports high frequency trading (HFT).

San Francisco-based Coinbase has announced the launch of a range of new products created to attract institutional organizations to the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem. Lost or stolen crypto funds will likely never be recovered, and this puts institutional investors on edge.

Coinbase has leveraged the company's deep experience safely storing more than $20 billion of cryptocurrency to create Coinbase Custody, the most secure crypto storage solution available.

Harbor Freight Chainsaw Recall
Over a million chainsaws sold at Harbor Freight Tools stores across the US have been recalled, because they may not turn off. Customers who may have this product should return them for a replacement chainsaw, which will be available starting May 21.

"Coinbase Prime will accelerate adoption of cryptocurrency worldwide by helping institutions everywhere participate in this emerging asset class", the company says. Over the course of the year it is promised to introduce new features like low latency performance, on-premise data-center co-location services, institutional connectivity and access, and settlement and clearing services.

Coinbase Prime is a new set of services which Coinbase says will "fill a missing piece of critical infrastructure needed for institutions" that wish to add cryptocurrencies to the roster.

Coinbase's launch partners include 1confirmation, Autonomous Partners, Boost VC, MetaStable, Multicoin Capital, Polychain Capital, Scalar Capital and Walden Bridge Capital.

Coinbase Markets is a centralized liquidity pool for all Coinbase products, which, besides Coinbase's digital wallet and exchange, include trading platform GDAX and now Prime. It will have its base in the NY office of Coinbase having a pool of expert employees with an enormous experience in the leading stock exchanges. "This movement requires institutional grade products and services, something Coinbase has been developing with leading institutions and which we are proud to formally launch today".

Florida teacher drowns 'nuisance animals' in front of class
A Forest Hill Excessive Faculty dad or mum informed FOX51 that her son took pictures of the harrowing acts with the animals. He has always gone above and beyond his call of duty to ensure that his students had everything they needed'.

Coinbase Prime is a platform with all the bells and whistles institutional investors are used to, and by the end of the year it should have advanced tools such as margin trading, algorithmic orders and multi-user permissions.

While Coinbase has said it doesn't consider tokens on its exchanges to be securities, the regulatory view on that is hazy.

This is a new group, based in Coinbase's New York City office, that will be focused on providing a personalized "white glove" service to institutional investors.
