Corker blasts Senate colleagues for blocking vote on tariffs

Corker Unloads on Republicans for Being Afraid of Trump

They start off by inculcating some sense of group loyalty, then they are taught to disregard any external source of information - and, say, instead get their news from a source that is working for the cult, like Fox News - and pretty soon, they have lost any capacity to make independent judgments.

The leadership move, which blocked Corker from including his legislation as an amendment on a pending defense bill, probably killed it for good - and with it, Congress's best chance of taking any action to confront Trump on trade.

Corker has been pushing for his amendment, which would be tacked onto the National Defense Authorization Act, to be put up for a vote amid Trump's talk of placing tariffs on imports from certain countries.

Robbie Williams caught swearing during live performance at World Cup
It is the biggest footballing event of the calendar year and this time Russian Federation is all set to host 32 teams. Williams said: "I'm so happy and excited to be going back to Russian Federation for such a unique performance".

While Trump Jr. was trying to downplay the significance of Corker's remarks about how the GOP is in "a odd place" because "it is becoming a cultish thing... as it relates to a president that happens to be of purportedly the same party", Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC) was on MSNBC sounding the alarm about the state of his party.

"We're in a unusual place", Corker told reporters Wednesday. Some, he said, are just "not willing" to speak up for what's right in regards to the tariffs against Canada and Europe. Mitch McConnell being Majority Leader with a Republican president, there has been only one amendment vote. "This in no way has any effect on our ability to pass the NDAA in a timely fashion".

"'We might poke the bear' is the language I have been hearing in the hallways", he said. "And so let's don't do anything that might upset the president'".

"I can't believe it!" A lot of them would vote for it if it came to vote, but no. "We can't do that because we'd be upsetting the president, the president of the United States'".

"We're in a unusual place", Corker said.

Twitterverse has fun with IHOb Name Change
The company's social media team put out a message that said there's no need to stress over the name change . But the trick comes with making the idea stick long after IHOb campaign ends.

Corker said such procedures are "used as customarily as waking up in the morning and drinking a cup of coffee", he said. But the senator leading the defense debate, James Inhofe of Oklahoma, said Tuesday he wouldn't go along because it risked holding up Pentagon funding and wasn't directly related. "I know that no matter what I do, this is going to be objected to", he said.
