Domino's Pizza is asking customers to nominate their town for pothole repairs.

Have you ever been driving your pizza home and you either get into an accident or hit a pothole, destroying your pizza? "We know that feeling is heightened when you're bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino's store", Domino's USA President Russell Weiner said in a statement.

Domino's Paving for Pizza initiative will fix potholes across the United States.

Since potholes, cracks, bumps and other road conditions can cause a pizza box to go flying and ruin the precious contents inside, Domino's launched the Paving for Pizza campaign on Monday, June 11.

"We don't want to lose any great-tasting pizza in a pothole, running a wonderful meal".

Domino's Pizza says potholes are putting its pizzas at risk, so the company is helping smooth out roads for delivery drivers.

The company helped fill five potholes in Burbank, eight in Bartonville, 40 in Milford, and 150 square yards of roads in Athens.

"This unique, innovative partnership allowed the town of Bartonville to accomplish more potholes repairs", Bartonville Mayor Bill Scherer said on the Paving for Pizza website.

"Facing an already harsher winter than usual for Delaware, this is an opportunity to get additional money to stretch our city's limited resources", said Eric Norenberg, City Manager of Milford, Delaware.
