Gmail for Android Gets Customisable Swipe Actions With Latest Update

Gmail for Android

The ability to swipe emails in Gmail has been a joy to use, in Gmail a swipe to the right or left will, by default, archive an email - but what if you want to customise that? Now it's the turn of the Gmail app for Android.

That could be a way bigger deal than it sounds.

Gmail for Android Gets Customisable Swipe Actions With Latest Update

Users can now set what specific function happens when they swipe left or right on an email. For the most part you can't add a new action that didn't exist before, meaning that users will have to choose between actions such as Archive, Delete, Mark as read/unread, Move to, Snooze, or None.

Gmail for Android has supported a swipe gesture within the mobile app for quite some time, but, up until today, it has been severely limited in scope.

But in 2011, a review panel of the American Physical Society found that DAC would likely cost about $ 600 per ton of captured CO2. This plan not only removes Carbon dioxide from the air but also uses the captured Carbon dioxide to create fuel.

It's not long since Google rolled out a major redesign to Gmail on the web, bringing not only a new look, but also new features. When we tried it with a corporate G Suite account, snooze wasn't yet available, even though it worked on our personal Gmail account.

Gmail's' new swipe options aren't extremely feature-rich, to be sure, but they're sufficient enough to get certain things done.
