James Wan Remaking Classic 90's Spider Flick ARACHNOPHOBIA

The Conjuring director James Wan is in the early stages of producing a remake of 1990's Arachnophobia which starred John Goodman

Almost thirty years after its release, director James Wan attacks its remake.

The big screen master of horror James Wan (The Conjuring universe, Saw franchise, The Tommyknockers) is producing an Arachnophobia remake, based on the 1990 horror comedy film directed by Frank Marshall, Deadline has confirmed. No director is attached, but Wan would be in a producer role rather than directing.

Two Norwegian politicians nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize
The committee doesn't publicly comment on who was nominated, information which is required to be kept secret for 50 years. In 2009, the Nobel Peace Prize award to newly-elected US President Barack Obama was widely criticized as premature.

However, almost 30 years on, the film is the latest candidate for a big screen remake.

Starring Jeff Daniels, John Goodman and Julian Sands, the original centered around a newly discovered Venezuelan spider being transported to a small U.S. town, producing a new species of dealing spiders which attack the residents. That said, what we do know so far- the producing team- is exciting. Are you excited for the remake?

Robbie Williams caught swearing during live performance at World Cup
It is the biggest footballing event of the calendar year and this time Russian Federation is all set to host 32 teams. Williams said: "I'm so happy and excited to be going back to Russian Federation for such a unique performance".

One wonders how adapting the movie in the late 2010s will change things, in terms of effects in particular.

The film's original plotline read; After a nature photographer (Mark L. Taylor) dies on assignment in Venezuela, a poisonous spider hitches a ride in his coffin to his hometown in rural California, where arachnophobe Dr. Ross Jennings (Jeff Daniels) has just moved in with his wife, Molly (Harley Jane Kozak), and young son. If you're reading this, Mr. Wan-let's do some practical effects work on this one, yeah? Also: Can we get John Goodman back, playing the long-lost brother of Delbert McClintock, out for spider vengeance?
