On Wednesday, the former inmate wrapped the reality TV star in a warm embrace, as she met for the first time the woman who helped win her freedom.

Kim Kardashian left the home with Alice Marie Johnson behind her.

"I hope maybe this inspires more people to talk to the people in power that you can have an effect over them for the greater good of other people", Kardashian West said in an interview alongside Johnson with NBC News' "Today" show.

Kardashian West met with Trump last month to plead for a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson.

After the two discussed Johnson's case, Kardashian said that the president, "had compassion for her right away". I was dancing, I was doing everything'. "I mean I already knew just by talking to you on the phone and just seeing you in videos, but I mean you are everything and more than I ever thought".

The wife of Kayne West also shared her recollection of the emotional moment, telling Twitter the call "will forever be one of my best memories" and 'a moment I will never forget'.
