Ricciardo expects Red Bull to ramp up contract talks

F1: McLaren reportedly table monster contract to lure Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull

McLaren are in talks with Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo about driving for them in Formula 1 next year.

Earlier, it had been reported that Daniel Ricciardo had received a big offer from McLaren for 2019.

Australian Ricciardo, who has been with Red Bull since 2014, is weighing up his options for the next move of his racing career, with his current team hoping that he will remain with them but know they face competition for his services from other top teams such as Ferrari and Mercedes who see Ricciardo as an experienced and successful driver. Mercedes, Ferrari and most recently McLaren have all been linked with moves for the Australian driver. I've had it pretty good there and it's been really fun.

Another potential candidate for Ricciardo is Renault.

"Those two teams [McLaren and Renault], they're not quite in that position yet but could they be?" But I wouldn't dismiss it also. But, I'll be honest, everyone is talking about Mercedes and Ferrari for potential places for me to go, but I'm aware there's probably going to be interest from other teams and I guess McLaren is probably one of them.

Chevy Blazer is coming back -- and it'll be made in Mexico
Driver aids will include adaptive cruise control and the rearview camera mirror previously seen on other General Motors models. The front fascia is particularly strong in its statement, with a sharp nose, thin LED headlamps, and a wide grille and intake.

With Red Bull switching to Honda power units and an unconfirmed offer coming from McLaren, there is fresh speculation on how the Monaco race victor will handle his next move in Formula 1.

"Lewis pulled the trigger pretty well [by choosing the right time to join Mercedes]". I'm not going to say it doesn't interest me at all.

Former world champion Jenson Button previously said Ricciardo should move to Ferrari, while the Aussie himself later cast aside rumours he was considering joining the Italian team. "So, whether it's just a fantasy for everyone else, I don't know, but at least there's a little bit of proof that something like that could potentially happen again". "They want to start to move soon now". As far as comments on it, I haven't been presented anything which says that.

"I haven't been pushed yet, but I would say that there will be some movement in the next week", he said.

"Whether that's something that gets put down on paper, the discussions will start to ramp up now in the next seven days".

"It would be a fairly bold decision to step out of a auto he's won two grands prix in this year and is a championship contender".

"For me personally, I think it would be nice to go on the summer (August) break knowing what I'm doing, so then I can actually enjoy (it). I know we still don't have the qualifying modes, but our race pace once we're through all the fuel saving, we seem a lot more competitive", he added.

"Honda seems to be improving with Toro Rosso". They are both on the up. Just for me to kind of switch of as well. So, from a personal point of view, by the summer would definitely be nice.

The announcement is sure to put more pressure on the Aussie to speed things up on what he'll be doing next year, and hopefully it's driving a Formula 1 auto.

Red Bull godfather Helmut Marko told the German publication Ricciardo's offers from rival teams have continued to rise in recent weeks after he showed pure class in guiding his wounded Red Bull to victory at the Monaco Grand Prix.
