Trump throws G7 into disarray with tweets after he leaves

MORE rebuked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Saturday, saying that the USA will not endorse a joint communique signed with the other Group of Seven (G-7) members at this weekend's summit and seemingly threatening to impose further tariffs on the country.

President Donald Trump delivered a threat to foreign leaders during a press conference Saturday at the 2018 G7 summit in Quebec, Canada: If they don't dramatically reduce tariffs and trade barriers, "we'll stop trading with them".

"Very dishonest & weak", Trump said, adding that recently imposed U.S. tariffs on imports of Canadian steel and aluminum were in response to similar measures imposed on American dairy products by Canada.

Other G7 leaders, including British Prime Minister Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, have also spoken out against the USA tariffs.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau vowed afterwards to press ahead with retaliatory tariffs on 1 July.

The group of seven nations that make up the G7 are Canada, France, the United States, the UK, Germany, Japan and Italy.

Nabil Fekir deal is off, confirm Lyon
Jurgen Klopp, in particular, will be delighted to have secured the signing of Fekir , should the transfer go through. Their statement read as follows : " The information on the transfer of Nabil Fekir is false ".

Earlier in the day, Trudeau said that the communique was agreed by all countries.

Trump denied that the summit had been contentious, a remark that contradicted what one G7 official described as a bitter harangue on Friday between the USA president and his counterparts over tariffs.

"Very dishonest and weak" he claimed, adding in a separate tweet: "I have instructed our U.S. reps not to endorse the communique". Re-admitting Russian Federation to the group would be an "asset", according to the president.

"So, if I can get the president to actually realize that what he's doing is counterproductive for his own goals as well, then perhaps we can move forward in a smarter way".

"If they retaliate, they're making a mistake", Trump said.

During the meeting, Mr Trump accused other states of "robbing" his country through their trade policies and proposed scrapping tariffs across the G7.

Oversaturation of the market isn't good for anyone, and it looks like that's where we might be headed, going forward. DICE said Battlefield 5 Battle Royale "will be unlike anything you've played before".

French President Emmanuel Macron stared at Trump after he sat down.

He missed Trudeau's introductory statement and entered the room while Gender Equality Advisory Council co-chair Isabelle Hudon was speaking.

A French presidential official described the Friday session as "extraordinary", saying leaders who had vowed to confront Mr Trump over his decision to impose tariffs on U.S. allies last week as part of his "America First" agenda, showered Mr Trump with data one after the other. Eventually, Trump left earlier than expected and went to Singapore to meet with Kim Jong-un. Afterward, he said that talks had been "extremely productive" on trade and other issues.

Trump, who angered Washington's top allies last week when he imposed tariffs on steel and aluminium imports from Canada, the European Union and Mexico, issued a broad indictment of global trade, with swipes at the G7 and India.

"We're either going to have NAFTA in a better negotiated form or we're going to have two deals", the USA president said. Otherwise, "we're going to make a deal directly with Canada, directly with Mexico". The Crimea annexation in 2014 resulted in the leading world powers excluding Russian Federation from the club and becoming the G-7 again.

On Friday, Mr Trump made a surprise call for Moscow to be readmitted, but German Chancellor Angela Merkel said other members were against the idea.
