Uber driver who booted 2 kissing women has license suspended

The couple, who say they had been drinking but weren't drunk, recorded a cellphone video showing the driver, 35-year-old Ahmed Elbotari, booting them from his vehicle.

The women initially thought the man was joking but once they realised he was serious they began recording. "It went from shock to anger", Iovine said.

Just five minutes after that, Pichl said the driver "pulled the cab over and said: 'You should not do that... do not do that'".

Alex Iovine and Emma Pichl say they were kicked out of an Uber after sharing a kiss in the back seat. It was during the ride just over the Manhattan Bridge when the couple says the incident began.

The PDA was too much for the driver, who pulled the vehicle over on Canal St.as it reached the other side of the Manhattan Bridge. The experience opened the couple's eyes to how pervasive prejudice can be. The driver is seen exclaiming in the video that what the couple did is illegal.

Valve And Perfect World Are Bringing Steam To China
The chat experience has been updated, allowing users to embed video, pictures, tweets, gifs, and much more. The gaming company just announced Steam Chat, which is now in beta for anyone to try.

Iovine refuted El Boutari's recollection of the incident, telling the Daily News that "we would never disrespect someone else's auto in such manner and we always handle ourselves appropriately in public".

Elbotari also spoke to the News, claiming that the couple was simply acting obnoxious, with one of them forcing the other to smell her armpit, playing music loudly on their phones, putting feet on the seat. "I think we are going to steer clear of Uber for a bit".

Uber's Community Guidelines state, in the "Give riders and drivers some personal space" section, "We all value our personal space and privacy".

Video footage shows the moment the man informs the pair that kissing in the back of the auto is illegal.

The driver has been identified as Ahmad El Boutari by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, WABC-TV reported. "We never thought something like this would happen to us".

Pope accepts Chilean bishops' resignation over abuse scandal
During his weeklong trip through Chile and Peru in January, Francis opened with a somber apology for sexual abuse by priests. He later apologised to victims, following criticism from Cardinal Sean O'Malley, a Vatican pointman on clerical sex abuse.

In a statement to ABC News, an Uber spokeswoman said, "Uber does not tolerate any form of discrimination, and we have been in touch with the rider regarding her experience".

Iovine said that she had sent a complaint to Uber directly after the incident, but the company did not respond until the Daily News reported the flap.

Alex Iovine, 26, and Emma Pichl, 24, live together in Manhattan and have been dating for almost two years.

However, Iovine is yet to receive a response from Uber.

A spokesman said the commission was investigating the incident. The women told CNN Uber refunded their $15 fare.
