What Amazon’s ‘Alexa For Hospitality’ Means For Hotels, Guests, And Marketers

Amazon Wants Alexa to Act as Your Hotel Room Butler, Starting With Marriott

"Customers tell us they love how easy it is to get information, enjoy entertainment, and control connected devices by simply asking Alexa, and we want to offer those experiences everywhere customers want them", said Amazon VP Daniel Rausch. Amazon said data from hotel guests will be deleted daily, and Marriott said those who don't want an Echo device in their room can ask to have it removed.

Now, however, Amazon is going one step further with the Alexa for Hospitality program, which will "help increase guest access to amenities" and "improve employee productivity", according to a press release.

Amazon notes that hotel managers, for example, would be unable to listen to what guests say to Alexa or its replies.

The e-commerce giant announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Marriott by placing its Echo devices in its rooms, reports Reuters.

Uruguay vs Saudi Arabia Playing 11
The Saudi Arabian national team's rough start to World Cup continued on Tuesday, as the team's plane caught fire in midair. La Celeste can book their place in the round of 16 with a victory over Saudi Arabia in Rostov.

In time, Amazon will support a temporary connection from a guest's Amazon account to the Echo in their room for a more personalised experience, thereafter automatically disconnecting on check-out.

Hotels will be able to create custom Alexa skills, set default radio stations and add property contacts, among other features.

The company said today that it would make its voice assistant, Alexa, available in hotels, vacation homes, and other kinds of rentals, starting with Marriott International hotel chains.

That is something Marriott recognizes and has sought to develop quickly, a representative for the hotel chain told GeoMarketing previous year when the brand was embarking on its first test of Alexa in its guest rooms.

Republicans are taking one more shot at immigration reform
Any two Illinois Republican lawmakers have made the difference by signing the petition to allow a roll call. But no law mandates that parents must be separated from their children at the border.

Amazon is bringing Alexa to hotel rooms across the country via a tie-up with Marriott International.

In addition to providing information like pool hours or fitness center locations, Amazon says the service can be configured by hospitality providers to allow guests to control and adjust in-room devices like lights, thermostats, blinds, and TVs.

Features developed by DigiValet, Intelity, Nuvola, and Volara allow guests to make requests like "Alexa, order wine", or "Alexa, book a spa appointment", with requests routed to hotel property management systems.

England fans lost their minds over Harry Kane's late game-winning goal
Kane enjoys a brilliant working relationship with Pochettino, and the message he sent to him clearly underlines that sentiment. He has a lot of lads in the squad. "I have been itching to get out there and showcase myself on the big stage".
