Mark Zuckerberg Becomes World's Third Richest Person as Facebook Stock Soars

The soaring Facebook share price has vaulted Mark Zuckerberg past the investor Warren Buffett as the world's third-richest man with a fortune of $82bn.

Zuckerberg, $81.6 billion, jumped ahead of Buffett, $81.2 billion, on Friday as Facebook shares rose by 2.4 percent, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The report noted that this is the first time when the three wealthiest people on the list built their huge wealth in the field of technology.
