Trump Attacks CNN, NBC in Joint Press Conference With British Prime Minister

Donald Trump Theresa May

"I don't take questions from CNN", said Trump.

The Sun political editor Tom Newton Dunn said that Trump's positive quotes about May were in the piece after he said they were "fake news" because "They didn't put it in the headline, I wish they put it in the headline". After Kristen Welker asked him whether he was giving Russian President Vladimir Putin the "upper hand", given Trump's criticisms of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, he said, "You see, that is such dishonest reporting".

Acosta: "But we're a real network too..." Roberts then asked his question.

Acosta shouted a question in Trump's direction as he walked away from the podium with his British counterpart. The White House correspondent reportedly asked if Trump planned to tell Russian President Vladimir Putin to stay out of USA elections in the future, to which Trump answered "yes".

Trump turned around and answered yes. Instead of sticking up for his fellow journalists, Roberts continued to ask his question as though nothing had happened.

"Lesson for the kids out there: no one should ever try to do the right thing with the expectation it will ever be reciprocated", Tapper wrote.

Plan to land Israeli spacecraft on moon
If successful, Israel would become the fourth country to land a craft on the moon, after the USA , the Soviet Union and China. The measurements are intended for research conducted at the Weizmann Institute of Science-UCLA.

"Can I ask you a question?".

Trump then chose to call on a reporter from what he described as a "real network" - Fox News White House reporter John Roberts. I also used to work at CNN. "There are some fine journalists who work there and risk their lives to report on stories around the world", Roberts said.

"No, no", Trump responded, calling the network "fake news".

In a statement provided to The Washington Post, Roberts said Trump's attack on the media was "unfair".

"For the President to call her dishonest is unfair", Roberts said.

Roberts, a chief White House correspondent, also stood by Welker, who was attacked by the president when she asked him if he was giving Russian President Vladimir Putin the "upper hand".

Trump says North Atlantic Treaty Organisation members have agreed to spending increases
Trump said he did not think Russian Federation would have invaded Crimea if he had been in the White House at the time . Germany spends 1.2 percent of its gross domestic product on defense, while the USA spends 3.5 percent.

NBC News had no comment on the exchange.

"Asking smart, tough questions, whether in a presidential press conference or interview, is central to the role a free press plays in a healthy republic", she said. Trump then went on to deny The Sun's reporting, claiming he never actually criticized May, and saying, "Fortunately, we tend to record stories now... we record when we deal with reporters".

All of the cable news networks, along with ABC, CBS and NBC, carried the news conference live.

In the article, Trump criticized May's handling of Brexit, saying that she would likely "kill" any trade deals between the USA and the United Kingdom because she didn't take his advice.

She said the pro-Brexit Sun, and Trump, succeeded in planting more doubt about May's "soft exit" plans for leaving the European Union. I didn't think they'd put it in, but that's alright.

"To say the President called us "fake news" with any serious intent is, well... fake news", the Sun concluded.

The Kremlin reacted to anti-Russian statements of trump
Washington's threats to impose sanctions on companies participating in the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project had no economic basis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

Different continent, same old CNN-hating Trump. Roberts, sitting next to him, playfully doffed the hat to reveal Mason's bald head.
