Shepparton golfer Jarrod Lyle has lost his long battle with cancer, passing away on Wednesday night, aged 36.

Lyle has long battled leukaemia, and his family last week announced he would cease treatment and enter palliative care.

It was announced last week week that Lyle had chosen not to seek further treatment in his long fight against cancer.

He would go on to spend four years on the PGA Tour from 2007 to 2011, winning the Mexican Open and Knoxville Open in 2008, then in March 2012 he returned to Australia for the birth of his first child, and was diagnosed with a relapse of leukaemia.

"My heart breaks as I type this message", Bri Lyle wrote on Jarrod's Facebook page last week.

"Lusi, Jemma and I are filled with grief and now must confront our lives without the greatest husband and father we could ever have wished for".

Brad Pitt's Lawyers Fire Back at Angelina Jolie's Child Support Claims
And according to UsWeekly , a major reason for the bitter battle is Jolie's holdup is resentment towards her third husband. Another source added: 'Brad has completely lived up to his commitments as far as child support and will continue to do so'.

"He asked that I provide a simple message: 'Thanks for your support, it meant the world. Our humble thanks to you all", she added.

"Jarrod was a true inspiration in the way he faced cancer with a persistently positive attitude and he carried himself with incredible grace, dignity and courage through the recurrences of this relentless disease", PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement.

In an emotional audio message late last week, he said he felt like "the luckiest golfer going around because so many people took an interest in me and took an interest in, I guess, my fight".

"He went back to play 20 events on the US Tour... and that's where he got a huge amount of respect from the players because there's not many who could come back from that and it was a tough ride for him". It's way too short a life for anyone, not least a man who brought such infectious joy to his world, and not to mention a golfer of his considerable talents.

Jarrod Lyle will be remembered as one of the most popular golfers on tour.

Thompson, The Pas under extreme heat warning
The Estevan area had previously been under a special weather statement due to the temperatures experienced in the last few days. The heat in southern Saskatchewan this week isn't just uncomfortable, it's gotten to the point where it could be risky .

Lyle had battled leukemia on and off for much of his adult life.

He had a bone marrow transplant past year but the illness returned and he chose to halt all treatment last week. "They deserve that and they need that more than anything right now".

"There will be a public memorial service at The Sands in Torquay at a date to be annouced later".

DeChambeau, a Californian who turns 25 next month, said he met Lyle when he competed in Australia at the end of 2015.

The yellow ribbons that adorned the hats of many golfers at the Bridgestone Invitational a week ago were in honor of Lyle.

She also explained that her husband wanted donations to be made to charity Challenge, in place of gifts and flowers.
